Climate change is one of the largest security threats and will continue to increase in its importance. Yet, in the recent years, little to no attention was paid towards climate change in the security domain. We understand the importance of supplying the future leaders with knowledge and skills to understand climate change and negate the challenges which it will bring in the future. Hence, why in November 2021, parallel to the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), YCST was created. 

YCST strives to be an international program that enhances climate security awareness through youth engagement. We aim to steer innovation, leading to the development and implementation of new ideas for climate measures. 

We have hosted events for military officers in training, student associations, study associations, and reserve officers in the Netherlands. This year we will be working on spreading our knowledge internationally.
